How to Get Food
Every Tuesday from 9:30am to 11:30am, we offer 5-7 days of emergency food monthly per family. First-time visitors should bring an ID or document with their name and address. The pantry serves residents from ZIP codes 60630, 60631, 60646, 60656, 60706, and 60634. All are welcome on their first visit, regardless of residence.
Food Distribution Procedure
When you can visit the pantry depends on the first letter of your last name. Here's how it works:
If your last name starts with A, B, C, D, E, or F, come on the first week of the month.
If your last name starts with G, H, I, J, K, or L, come on the second week of the month.
If your last name starts with M, N, O, P, Q, or R, come on the third week of the month.
If your last name starts with S, T, U, V, W, X, Y, or Z, come on the fourth week of the month.
For example, if someone’s last name is “Jones,” they would look at the “Week 2” schedule because last names starting with G–L go in Week 2. For November, Jones would visit the pantry on November 12.
